Performance plan: We will be cross cutting between performance and narrative. We decided that we are going to shoot performance first as it will require the most organisation.  We plan to shoot it on the 29th of October- As it is a day in which all band members are free and have access to transport us to out location with all the props. No weather forecast check is required as this will all be shot inside.  List of people involved:  Luke Whittaker - Lead singer. Luke was chosen to be the lead singer as he has the "edgy" look that we wish to accomplish with the band. Storyboard  Our music video will cross cut between narrative and performance. The lead singer will also be the protagonist within the narrative. The narrative will follow the protagonist as he navigates through a breakup that ended on bad terms. The song is called "Rise" and he is "Rising" by being able to get over his ex. Conventions of indie rock Indie rock is a sub-genre of alternative rock that originated in the UK in the 80s. Indie rock became its own genre when bands such as Nirvana became mainstream, since then however, it has developed into a very versatile genre. However, genre today is very blurred with the majority of music not solely conforming to the conventions given, but expanding outside them. As Abercrombie suggests the boundaries between genre are blurring, which is highly evident within the music industry.  We chose the indie rock due to our unfamiliarity, allowing us to look objectively at the genre conventions and we aim to apply them to our own video with being influenced by our own taste. Focus Group In class we decided to do a focus group in which we projected our ideas to fellow students and they gave us positive and negative feedback. This was very helpful in this stage of planning and research. As it allowed for us to understand and evaluate our idea's and to be able to build on the comments of our class mates. They asked interesting questions that we will consider when producing our video, such as the location and props that we have available.
